Yellow... oh wait purple minions!

As you know I love cartoons... I love love them and I blogged about them, here and here
And I did enjoy the Despicable me, but I did think that where was not enough yellow minions, perhaps a lot of people thought that so Despicable me 2 had more of them... And oh god this was so much fun!

(haven't seen it yet but planning to... stop reading now!)

I did love how very fatherly Gru has became and how his neighbors wanted to set him up on the date... Oh it was just so funny.

Although it is a cartoon and happy ending is quiet obvious from the posters!

But the songs yellow minions sing are just so funny! But you need to know who Boyz To Men were... and you know early 90s music.

Yellow minions actually play a very important role in this cartoon in the way they actually take center stage... In a really diabolical way actually!

I did love Kristen Wiig's character... She was so cute and fun, like a magical unicorn of cartoon spies!:)

Anyway, the cartoon is cute. Do watch it, Russel Brand's acting as an evil doctor is cute.. Actually all the actors are great, I do love Steve Carell so much. Especially after Dan in Real Life.

Khhhaaaann!!!! Star Track into the Darkness (spoilers!)

I guess I am the only one who just saw new Star Track film... well it was me and hubby. We went to Cineworld! Yes, no more Odeon for me! So happy, you know how I feel about Odeon...

When my co-blogger Owen went to see Into the Darkness he said just one thing to me:
"Benedict does steal every scene"

And oh boy!!... But first thing first.

I do not like Star Track series, they are just too dated for me. Sorry. I like Sci-Fi... not all of it but some definitely, I am a bit of a geek.

Husband did say that I need to watch The Wrath of Khan (if you didn't know Star Track did the films too)to understand the jokes that the opening scenes refer to.. well maybe one day.

(if you haven't seen it yet now it is a good time to stop reading)

Opening scenes showed us this small world that is on the verge of distraction by volcanic eruption... But Jim  Kirk being a human that he is decides to save it. A lot of running around, many funny comments, but Spock almost dies.... I think this kind of sets the mood really.
Spock was very puzzled about the whole big deal with the human emotion. Zachary Quinto did a very good job of that too! I was very moved by his speech to Uhura when they were about to land on Chronos.

Then it all kicks off with sad scenes form London featuring lovely Noel Clarke who I love since he was Mickey in Dr Who (geek, told you!) and the dramatic appearance of Khan.

And when they do get on the planet of "Cornish pasties"... well I'm sorry but Klingon do look like them a bit, action scene ... Benedict Cumberbatch is magnificent! Every move is captivating. It was truly amazing...Ok I might be slightly biased on that...

Since I obviously had no idea what would happened and appart from the whole genocide thing I really wanted Khan to win! Yes, he was that good!
The comedy moments been provided by very sexy "Bones" (Karl Urban) and Mr Scott (Simon Pegg), fun all around. I do think that's a good film make, really: action must be awesome, excellent effects and fight scenes,  comedy and men candy!

However....the whole Kirk dying thing I saw this coming really... Magic blood and what not, so ending was a bit predictable.

(you can start reading again)

The action the story the characters well worth watching!
I really enjoyed it, and I think will be watching it again and again. Highly recommend it!

Written by Daria who seem to be still in love with Benedict Cumberbatch with black hair. I think blond just don't do it for me.

what to expect... I giggled a lot!

My friend Marzena watched what to expect when you're expecting while expecting... and said it was a good film. So it is finally on netflix, what would we be doing without it? and I just watched it too....

Oh fun! A lot of great comedy actors, including my very favorite Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks and Rebel Wilson...

Different new babies stories linked into one film. They all somehow related, not by blood but work, food and  park. Very cute. It is a film for girls, especially with Joe Manganiello strutting his stuff:) Beautiful beautiful man!

Very heart warming with amazing comedy moments...

Sneezed.... oh there is the baby...
"She is like a magical unicorn of pregnancy"....
I think the most precious thing of this film is Elizabeth Banks meltdown. So true! Everyone wants a glow... and not fats, hemorrhoids... and all the other "pleasures" of being pregnant.

Film that makes you smile. It's not a super comedy it is just a very nice heart warming film. Really. Only if you are pro babies...
